Checking in on New Year Resolutions
Well , it’s about six months since your New Year resolution Chandler, Scottsdale, Mesa and Phoenix Valley business owners. How have those resolutions worked for you? As so many business owners look for ways to skinny down the budget, good advice as we are still in this recession is…don’t skimp on your security budget!
This locksmith knows that crime is alive and well in Scottsdale, Chandler , Mesa , Tempe and elsewhere in the Phoenix valley.
True Story: Early last year one of our locksmith Scottsdale business clients was setting up a new location. And he called us out there to re-key the property . As with all of ASAP Lock & Security Scottsdale service calls, we surveyed the site.
We found that our Scottsdale locksmith customer was very vulnerable to common criminal attack at the rear of his property. We also suggested a new safe since his was a Costco special. Please folks, don’t buy cheapo safes from Costco and Wal-mart. Don’t get me wrong. I shop at both places for food and dry goods. However, those stores are a very poor choice to shop for asset protection.
Anyway, back to the story of our Scottsdale client. I strongly suggested for him to let us better secure his back door and sell him a new safe. He thanked us, but…there were so many other updates and expenses he wanted to attend to. I’ll save some money now and thanks, but he passed on my security advice.
A little less than three months later…he called ASAP Lock & Security and said “Laura, I should have listened to your advice. We were broken into last night (at the door you suggested we improve) and they pried our safe open and took cash. Alarms went off, but by the time the police got there…we were robbed. Please secure the premises as you suggested and we’d like to buy a new safe today.”
Now readers, as a professional locksmith in Scottsdale, and more importantly, as an ethical and moral person; I am not happy when bad things happen to good people. The suggestions I make for lock and security improvements are for your protection and to avoid situations like this one. I like to retain clients because I’ve helped them stay protected. Locksmith referrals are very strong for ASAP Lock & security and I know it’s cliché, but referrals ARE our biggest compliment.
Think about it. People are stressed. Have you noticed? Remember that disgruntled employee you let go last month? Does he still have your key? At ASAP Lock & Security, know that our prices are reasonable and we will help you set up a better way of tracking security issues so that they become non-issues.
So back to the New Year advice…Please, in 2010, if your New Year’s resolution is to tighten your belt on spending, please do not skinny down on the security budget, just skip the donuts in the break room.
Best Wishes for a prosperous New Year to all of our Phoenix Valley Business Owners.

Homeless in the Valley
More than 2700 people are living on the streets in the Phoenix Valley. This locksmith noticed Tempe Vice Mayor, Shauna Ellis, along with other Maricopa government, had reduced their homeless numbers from last year. Very often, in the news I notice that criminals involved in commercial thefts such as shoplifting and armed robbery or assault are indeed vagrants. This is a sad state, but more than that..you should make sure you are properly securing your homes and businesses. Call a trusted locksmith service for Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, scottsdale or Phoenix.
Locksmith Advice for Tempe
One of my past clients phoned in today regarding an unfortunate event. Seems one of his problematic teenage relatives went down the bad road again. The road that led unfortunately… to his house. The teenager broke into the garage through the side door to steal a car and then the car ran out of gas and he was arrested. This garage side door I previously suggested he should guard. He called to say…I should have listened to you and spent the money then on the guards. He got in exactly as you said someone could. So, it’s not the ringing of my bell situation that I write this it’s the…listen to your Tempe locksmith. Good advice is out there. Good locksmith advice from a REPUTABLE locksmith in Tempe. Please, upgrade your mechanical home security.
Scottsdale Locksmith
So we had a call yesterday. It was a glass company and they were locked out of one of their trucks and called us to help. As we were chatting, we asked, so do you see a lot of customers break windows on their cars to get in, frustrated that they are locked out?
He laughed, ‘YES ,we do see that frequently. People don’t liked paying for a locksmith, but they will pay us or go through insurance, which will raise rates on them anyway.’
We asked…so how much does it cost to replace a window in a car? Reply? “Oh, approximately $700–tempered glass is expensive!’ Also, glass guys have to take the entire door apart to do the job. Seems reasonable.
So to this I ask consumers..call a local locksmith. ASAP Lock & Security is in Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, Mesa and Phoenix on a daily basis. Our lockout fees are ALWAYS under $100! Then, you can be on your way, putting the frustrated lock out behind you. NO insurance rate fees and please, don’t break glass! For your lockout locksmith call ASAP Lock & Security @ 480-380-2080
Locksmiths on the Internet
Jeez. I guess that’s the only way to start this post. The internet is SATURATED with locksmiths in the Phoenix valley. It’s very hard for a consumer to figure out who is who what is what. Who do you trust with your security?
There are A LOT of scam artist companies advertising here in the valley. Non-local, lock service advertising trying to lure in the unsuspecting. I wanted to post here, as the owner of ASAP Lock & Security, that these companies are bogus and they bother me deeply. It is WRONG and IMMORAL to take advantage of people in an emergency situation..be it locked out of their home, car or office. WRONG. Beware of the 800 phone numbers and well, they even have local numbers too, but they ring into a hub somewhere…be it Toronto or Atlanta. So watch out and ask questions. If the owner won’t get on the phone with you? They most likely are a scam company.
Speaking as the owner of a locksmith service that is established here in the valley, it is very apparant that ASAP Lock & Secuirty has strong business ethics and we are qualified trade professionals. I can support this very simply: ASAP Lock & Security has a strong client referral base. Our customers like to pass the word along to friends and collegues. Our customers have loyalty when it comes to their locksmith security company and we own that loyalty and give back with THE BEST LOCK SERVICE and security they desire. Referrals are our biggest compliment!
Call ASAP Lock & Security@ 480-380-2080 BEFORE there is an emergency or if you have a security question and want to speak to a locksmith.
