Locksmith in Mesa, AZ-Please Open My Door!

True story from a professional Mesa, AZ Locksmith

The phone rang…EARLY.  I was hearing at 6:45am “please, please, please, I locked my keys in my bedroom. Can you come now, I need to get to work!”

As locksmiths, of course this is what we do.  We help people out of jams, me personally, I like helping people NOT get into jams, by installing high security and code locks-wouldve avoided this story, but…mistakes happen so of course I hopped in the truck and got there within 15 minutes.  The bedroom lock was installed incorrectly,  upside down  Kwikset lock.  I took out my pick tools.  By the way, do you know how much a good full set of PROFESSIONAL  (notice the caps?) locksmith pick tools cost a locksmith?  Just let me say…not cheap.  So, I picked the worried woman’s door open in about two minutes (remember, I was sleepy).  She paid me, thanked me for my kind and fast service and said she really had to get to work.  I said, “Well, have a nice day, and don’t do this anymore.”  We both chuckled and had each of our starts to our day.

Later on, we got a call at about 4:45pm. ’ Hi this is Ms. xyz,  I can’t get into my bedroom again!  My key won’t work.  What did you do to the lock?’  I assured this woman, that the picks I have–or any other professional locksmith, the picks would NOT-absolutely NOT harm the lock in any way.  Do you have the right key for your bedroom door?  Oh, yes. I think…yes, yes I do, you must have broken the lock, can you come over and let me  in again?’ Are you sure you have the correct key, Mame?  ‘Look, I need help and I can’t afford another lock out fee.   Please just come over’  I sighed, oh, this woman’s day…obviously, had not improved.  I gave her my most rock-bottom-can’t get any cheaper rate to help her, again,  because…well, I have a heart.  My heart doesn’t pay my bills, but I believe, Karma is real so it’s a fair swap.    Back to the story…simple of it was, she wasn’t satisfied.  She wanted me to come over with no lock-out charge.  I said, wait, let me understand, you want me to come over FOR FREE?  I asked her one question and I asked it softly…Mame, do you work for free?

Customers, please understand, we cannot come to you on-site and perform work for FREE.  What we do promise, is that you will be treated with respect, professionally and you will NOT be over-charged for services.  Now this locksmith in Mesa, AZ, the one with the heart,  did not set-up a non-profit organization.

Hmmm, maybe I should look into that?
