Installing Locks- There IS a difference!
Consumers, please understand that when price shopping for a locksmith in Mesa, AZ you have a quickie education about what happens when a locksmith installs a new lock . When asking for quotes, as all consumers seem to do-it-to-death these days…BEWARE that…with locksmiths companies as with any other type of contracting field, like roofers, or pool installers…you will get what you pay for.
I can hear some thoughts..well, a hole is a hole, so just drill one and stick the lock in? Right? I mean, I can hire my handyman. To answer, I’ll keep it simple here, NO. A handyman is not a locksmith and not all locksmiths are created equal.
There are different “grades” of locks and ways of installing locks properly to manufacture specifications to their intended grades. This is the same for the locks on your home to expensive access control locks for your office building front door.
A grade 1 install is MUCH better than a Grade 3 install. For your commercial building you should have NO LESS than Grade 2 installs on any of your locks. If you do, you are NOT protecting your business properly. I can interject here…mechanical security IS your first line of defense.
So you are asking? What is the difference?
The difference is simple. The higher the grade (grade one being high-think Aces in cards) the more force the lock can withstand. The more use and number of cycles (how many times you actually USE the lock) will have graded testing manufacturers have to submit to test at these independent companies to get the listing. There are a few independent testing companies that create specifications for the entire security industry.
So…as a business owner…back to my favorite subject. Customers wanting to know “HOW MUCH” should always understand WHAT and HOW your locksmith service company is going to take care of you.
As with ANY service company you get what you pay for. With ASAP Lock & Security you will get EXACTLY what you pay for AND more, because we are an independent lock service company. We are local. Meaning, we are NOT part of a national chain and we want your repeat business. We are mobile. So we don’t have high rent and overhead to pass along to the consumer.
We are proud of our long term client relationships. And believe me, we have ‘em! We are an educated team of trusted locksmiths and understand the difference in regards to lock quality and grades from the products we sell and install. We are a local Phoenix Arizona company that professionally installs by grade and can improve your existing locks with upgraded installs and re-installations.
