Identity Theft

A few days ago, this Scottsdale locksmith  went to a service call for a woman who had her purse stolen from a store.  Ladies, do not get distracted in a store and leave your purse in a shopping cart or dressing room! Well, that’s what this woman did because let’s face it, we are all so busy!  We just want to shop and hurry on to our next “to do” item for the day!  Well, misplaced purse ended up being a stolen purse,  and she needed to rekey her house and we also changed the programing for her vehicle as well so her keys would not work for her car.

The police officer suggested she rekey her house, but unfortunately, the police officer that took her report forgot to mention to her to call credit bureaus as well.  So this locksmith reminded her of that.

Remember, if you are a victim of identity theft, here is a handy list of the credit bureau numbers:  Experian 888-397-3742, Trans Union 800-888-4213, Equifax 800-685-1111. Now it is my understanding that you just have to phone one and the other two will also receive the information, but if this happened to me?  I’d contact all three companies and put a freeze on your credit immediately.

Scottsdale Woman Escapes Locksmith Scam-Hires ASAP Instead

ASAP Lock & Security, a trusted Scottsdale locksmithservice.  Why can we say it?  Testimonials.  A woman was the victim of a locksmith scam.   She lost the keys to one of her investment homes in Scottsdale.  She looked up the first company listed on the internet,I’m not going to list their name here,  but this company advertises the claim that they come out for $25.

Be careful of locksmith companies that are solely advertising  just to get the Google rank.  The ones that have no apparent “real name” if you will.  You know, like just “Phoenix Locksmiths”  or “Scottsdale Locksmiths.”    Eeek.

Did you know, Arizona, that these types of scam companies can use criminals who show up for your service calls?  Yup.  No formal  background check licensing required in our state.

ASAP Lock & Security does NOT use criminals.  Background Check is REQUIRED to work on our team.  That is a specific ASAP Lock & Security company policy.

So…back to the story.  They go out to this woman, glance at her deadbolt and say “I’m going to have to drill it then install a new one”   Now, there are some locks now on the market where…this is a true statement.  Hers wasn’t one of them.  “Oh, and I’m going to have to charge you $200 extra to do the work.” So according to my customer, this guy shows up in an SUV, not looking very professional, no shirt displaying company name, nothing.  She SENT HIM AWAY.  (applause-applause)

Then she did a better research on the internet and found ASAP Lock & Security.

We quoted on the phone, arrived on time and opened her door in about 20 seconds.  She paid what we quoted.  This smart woman did NOT get SCAMMED.  She is an inspiration to ALL consumers.

Go with an ethical Arizona locksmith company.  Call ASAP Lock & Security.  We will always do the best thing for our customers.  We are professionals.  We are knowledgeable. We are your community locksmith company.

Another Cool thing about Scottsdale

Wanted to comment on the green fact that the world’s largest solar-powered air conditioning unit will be installed at a Scottsdale School this fall.  It is a 500 ton unit.  This Scottsdale locksmith service  provider thinks the Scottsdale School district is very cool for making it happen.
