More than 2700 people are living on the streets in the Phoenix Valley. Mesa boy dies from shooting. Is shot by his 17 year old friend.
According to Maricopa records, just this past week, a 17-year-old boy was charged in the shooting death of his 18-year-old friend, a young Mesa, AZ resident. The shooter was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
The 17 year old shooter got the 9 mm handgun at his father’s house in Chandler and accidentally pulled the trigger and shot Jeremy Reed, in the head.
The Mesa boy was a talented ceramic artist at Mountain View High School in Mesa. The shooter, tried to make up a story about an attempted burglary, but later confessed to the killing.
This tragedy could have been avoided if the shooter never had access to his father’s guns. This Mesa locksmith grew up with guns.
