Locksmiths as Service people – From an Owner’s Perspective
Locksmiths are involved in a service oriented business. Locksmiths usually are called in during a stressful time to solve problems. Lately, I have noticed a trend that as service people can actually become fraud victims of customers. Let me explain.
There are a lot of stressed, angry people walking about. From people losing their homes, jobs, retirement accounts. Shooting their families then themselves. It’s everywhere and it truly saddens me, personally, to see it and hear about it in the news.
However, when performing business, being transparant and upfront with our customers is our first and only objective when called out for jobs. I have made this our service ethic for my company. I have been told, by my clients, on countless occasions, how refreshing we are to work with.
Everything regarding the work my locksmiths are hired to do is explained. This means what direction the job will take verses what clients, who usually really don’t understand what their situation involves, because they are not locksmiths and they don’t understand locks. This means explaining price. That’s why ASAP locksmiths are hired again and again.
Though the news is full of stories of unscrupulous locksmith companies that set up shop here in Arizona, ASAP Lock & Security stands as an ethical, local, professional choice for a locksmith service company.
Recently, I was, as the owner of ASAP Lock & Security, a victim of a truly malicious, attack by a man named Bob Sheppard of Southwest Energy Systems LLC located in Phoenix, AZ.
Mr. Sheppard hired my company to come out and deal with some high security locks. He was told exactly what his situation entailed, he approved the job, thanked us, paid for the job. The next day he called me and complained about paying for the job and belittled my very talented experienced locksmith, Justin, who performed the work.
This behavior is the equivalent of say, going to a restaurant and ordering a meal. Eating the meal, thanking the waiter, paying for the meal and going home. Then, the next day, calling the restaurant to speak to the owner to say you never knew there would be a mushroom sauce on your chicken-even though you ordered the mushroom chicken, and asking for your money back or some return of monies from your meal! Would the restaurant say “Okay, sure, you can have your money back.”
Bob Sheppard of Southwest Energy Systems is a stressed, angry man and in my best Buddhist manner; I feel sorry for him. He has written several untrue, aweful reviews about us. If you see any reviews posted with malicious comments about our service being “unethical or unprofessional” please consider the source. Just call us and ask us about your job. We will make sure you know if your chicken will have mushrooms or not.
Sincerely,
Laura Cordovano
