Mesa boy dies from shooting. Is shot by his 17 year old friend.

According to Maricopa records, just this past week, a 17-year-old boy was charged in the shooting death of his 18-year-old friend, a young Mesa, AZ resident.  The shooter was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

The 17 year old shooter got the 9 mm handgun at his father’s house in Chandler and accidentally pulled the trigger and shot Jeremy Reed, in the head.

The Mesa boy was a talented ceramic artist at Mountain View High School in Mesa.   The shooter, tried to make up a story about an attempted burglary, but later confessed to the killing.

This tragedy could have been avoided if the shooter never had access to his father’s guns.  This Mesa locksmith grew up with guns.  This locksmith also believes that if you even think for a second that one of your kids is not yet a responsible young adult, LOCK UP YOUR GUNS.  There are many  different types of safes for this purpose.   There are also other options for your home.  ANY option is better then to see this type of tragedy.  Contact an ASAP Lock & Security locksmith to talk about options for your home.

Ahwatukee Burglary

The Phoenix police took three men into custody last Thursday afternoon after a neighbor called to report the trio attempting to break into a home.

The Phoenix police reported that the men were allegedly trying to break into a home in Ahwatukee near East Cathedral Rock. Two men were quickly arrested on foot and a third was stopped in a vehicle with a handgun that was reported stolen in California.

The men, one of whom is thought to live in Ahwatukee , and the other two in Chandler, match the description of the suspects in an attempted burglary from last Wednesday in Chandler.

This Ahwatukee locksmith says, UPGRADE your locks!  Upgrading your locks makes it more difficult for criminals to break in using common methods.

It is also in the opinion of this locksmith that all Ahwatukee neighbors should be on the lookout for strange activity.  It is obviously, EFFECTIVE.

Big kudos go out to the Ahwatukee resident who helped the police nab these burglars.
